There are about four thousand pictures of the dog on your phone. Eleven of them are good. One of them is perfect: ears up, eyes on you, tongue doing that little half-out thing. Mug, tee or portrait?
Think about where the person spends their time. Somebody who lives on coffee and refills it four times before noon should get the mug. It’s the one they’ll touch every single day, and it sits on a desk or a counter where other people see it and ask, “Wait, is that your dog?”
The tee is for the person who already talks about their pet to strangers. It’s a soft Bella+Canvas shirt with the portrait printed on the front, so they can skip the small talk and just point.
The 12x16 wall portrait is the quieter pick. It works in a hallway, above a dog bed, or next to the family photos where, let’s be fair, the pet probably already outranks a cousin or two. Sketch and Black & white look especially good framed.
Getting a good photo
You don’t need a fancy camera. Stand near a window, get down to your pet’s eye level and make a weird noise right when you tap the shutter. Faces in focus matter more than anything else. A messy kitchen in the background is fine, because it won’t be there for long.

The name field can hold a date as well as a name, so “Biscuit · Home 2026” works nicely for a friend celebrating their first year with a rescue.

Open-plan offices are a lot more bearable with your cat staring back at you from your coffee. It also ends the “whose mug is this?” question in the break room for good.

Quick answers
- What kind of photo works best?
- A clear, well-lit shot where their face is in focus and fills a good part of the frame. Eye level beats looking down from above. The background doesn’t matter, since we remove it.
- Can I add a message too?
- There’s one text field, and it’s for your pet’s name. You can fit a short extra like “Dog Mom” or a date in there, but there’s no separate message line.
- Do you make cat photo gifts?

- Will I see it before I pay?
- Yes. You preview your pet on the actual product first, so you can switch styles or photos until it looks right.
